Website Typography is the process of using different fonts on the Web to display the art of designing and arranging different types of Web fonts, letters, words and paragraphs used to create great Web design. Good Website typography helps a designer to establish effective visual hierarchy and provides good visual punctuation as well as graphic accents. Website typography helps online readers to connect the text with images without any hassle.

Brand Typography is a visual element of brand style guide, or brand book, that arranges your business's Website in a legible way and aligns your messaging with your brand. Limiting the number of font families to a minimum, two is plenty, one is often sufficient and stay with the same ones through the entire Website is a good practice. If you do use more than one font, ensure the font families complement each other based on their character width.

The Google Web Font service is a free depository of hundreds of fonts, all available to use for free on the web, through Open Source Licensing. The platform first launched in 2010 that revolutionised the way type could be used on the web. Designers & developers were no longer limited to a handful of web safe fonts which could be found on the users’ machine. The fonts are updated with multiple languages supported by the fonts in the library.
