The Surface Web is data that can be accessed by a typical web browser. The Deep Web are parts of the web not indexed or searchable by search engines. The Dark Web forms a small part of the deep web but requires custom software in order to access its content.
Originally called The Onion Router, Tor is a free network of servers, or nodes that randomly route internet traffic between each other in order to obfuscate the origin of the data. The Tor Browser can significantly increase a user’s privacy and anonymity online.
